You can just call me Bond…Dan Bond. At least that’s who I felt like when I attend the New Yorkers for Children Gala. I haven’t been to a Gala in quite some time and it was surprisingly more fun that anticipated. I felt inspired. The speakers touched me and I felt…I think they are called…emotions? You can really see the impact made on the children. Goals they never thought they could complete became reality. The immense grateful spirit embodied made everyone applaud. It was uplifting.
Obviously, at the premier fashion Gala of the season, you need to look the part. That’s why I chose this full look from Marks & Spencer. I knew I needed to go with the classic black tux. I typically opt for a simple suit but I knew I need to step up my game. This is actually my first black tux (owned and not rented). I felt like full on adult. I was also surprised at how great the tux fit. I have never been someone that can just order and wear. I usually have to have something specially crafted or have something extremely tailored. I think it’s the muscle gains, but the suit fit like a glove. It was perfect in all the right places. I didn’t need to do anything to make it perfect. It simply was already perfect.
I paired the tux with a classic white shirt. I wanted to give a little texture to the look so I added a leather bow tie. That is right! A leather bow tie! That was the second part of my look to get complimented on. My tux was the first! Complete the look with derby shoes and it’s one to be proud of. I’m already lusting for the next time I can wear it!
Cheers to that!
