Nautical Nonsense

May 31, 2012

So it’s time to bring out the white pants/short shorts. I mean, I never follow that “no white until Memorial Day” business but I figured it was a good time to wear it for the weekend.

When I think of wearing white pants, I think of the Hamptons. And how you can you not think of the Hamptons and not think of boating? Therefore, I decided to go for a nautical feeling.

Vintage-washed navy striped shirt and boat shoes brought in the nautical sense. Now, where’s my boat?

Shirt | H&M
Pants | American Apparel
Shoes | Sperry Topsider
Bag | Ecoalf
Sunglasses | Marc by Marc Jacobs

And I complete the outfit with the most unique bag I own. The tote is made by Ecoalf and is an environmentally conscious tote. The bag is actually made from PET plastic bottles (and leather). How awesome!

If you remember from my #ecodan days (it’s fine if you forgot all about that…) I am very conscious of my environmental impact. I recycle everything, bring my own bags to the store, make sure to unplug my electronics, etc.; clearly I geek about the environment.

I’m in love with the fact Ecoalf created fashionable, trendy bags and shoes out of waste. It’s inspiring how much the brand looks to the future. You must get one too.
