Ever have a mental image of how something was supposed to pan out? You think you know exactly how every moment, event and experience will play out? Well, duh. We’re human. It’s in our nature to assess situations before we dive into them. And that’s what I did with Coachella. I had all these preconceived notions of how this coveted weekend would work. All these notions resulted in my lack of enthusiasm for ever taking part in the weekend. I honestly never felt enticed to join in the festivities. But, when life hands you an experience, you shouldn’t stray away just because you’ve conjured a fake scenario in your head–you must embrace it and take on the challenge. You’ll never grow and learn if you don’t experience the new.
I will admit I was completely wrong. Coachella was AMAZING. It was 100% because of the people I surrounded myself with every day of the weekend. Yes, there were a handful of musical acts I wanted to see. Those were enjoyable. But the real excitement and memories were made by the shenanigans of my squad. The weekend was filled with hysterical laughter from morning until…ummm…the next morning. The things said, done and seen were the ultimate. I am thankful that I was able to strengthen friendships and manifest new ones. It was honestly the best Coachella experience I could ever hope to have. I do not think it could be replicated but it will always be cherished. ALL THANKS TO RAY-BAN! The group was contrived by the team and they picked them perfectly.
Ok, fine. Whatever. I’ll stop being mushy. The two looks were my first two looks at Coachella. My first look, I wanted to keep my style but add some Coachella flair. I chose this Jackthreads rooster printed shirt to start the weekend off. It wasn’t crazy hot so this look was the most ideal. I played with prints on my shoes and kept the shorts clean and simple. Hell yeah.
My second look was on the day the sun began to melt my skin. I kept it simple with a white tank and 2(x)ist swim trunks I wore as shorts. I loved the gradient of the colors and how it resembled the sun setting on ocean waters. I thought the unique print would help me stand out while at the festival. And it did. If one more person grabbed my butt to say, “nice shorts,” I was going to…keep smiling and say, “do it again.” 😛
Both looks I spot the Ray-Ban Club Rounds. I kind of fell in love with the reflective pink. I am not typically attracted to pink but these sunnies stood out in every right way. They are in the summer rotation. Here we go!
